Book Club

This book is great! It gives you a week by week, day by day section to read and the opportunity to make goals. It was shocking to see that someone else actually had been where I feel I am at today and after reading just the first week I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel! I feel so much lighter knowing that I can do anything that needs to be done and then some!

A woman in our playgroup read this and suggested we start a book club to keep ourselves on track and help keep us motivated. There are a few of us that are reading this book now and with our first book club meeting tomorrow, I'm so excited and interested to see what they have to say about it.

I'll keep updated on our meetings for the next 6 -weeks. Maybe some of you moms out there could use a little pick-me up too. I'll let you know how it goes!

Batman & Spiderman

Mom, Amanda, Jess and Noah all came up this weekend. We spent our nights watching scary movies and ghost shows and eating and on Saturday we took the boys to the Pocatello Zoo for the Halloween festival.
Harry was fascinated by this witch.

They had hotdogs and drinks, a haunted treehouse and little games and crafts everywhere for the kids. I wish Jess and Noah were in this picture. Jessica won 3rd place in the adult costume contest.

In one of the games the kids searched through the pile of leaves for little prizes. Aidan just wanted to be buried in leaves. He loves the crunching sound!

Harry in his spider costume. He kept falling over and he would just roll because he couldn't get up on his own. But at least he had padding!

*Insert Star Wars theme here*

Ta da! Jeff finished this all by himself! I'm kidding Todd! ;) Though Jeff was able to help start a small part of this 3 foot long lego ship, it proved to difficult to complete with a 3 year old with honest intentions of helping daddy build the spaceship. Our friend, Todd took it over to his house and finished this masterpiece. Thanks Todd!

School days, school days dear old golden rule days...

Aidan started pre school today! He was so excited, he woke up at 4am wanting to go but I made him lay back down and watch a movie in his room so he could get more sleep. He asked for a play by play of what needed to be done before we left for school also and when we were getting ready to leave he saw a school bus drive by and he thought he missed it! He started crying and telling me the bus left him but when I told him mommy would take him he was okay. As soon as we walked in the door for school, he took off his backpack and covered the following subjects with his teacher in under 2.5 sec.
* Thomas on his backpack
* He loves Thomas and Percy and James
* Asked if she had any Thomas
* Showed her his 'new' shoes
* Showed her the lights on his 'new' shoes
* Asked her if they were cool 'new' shoes
She just laughed. He was so excited! Aidan has his first field trip on friday to the pumpkin patch. His teacher is in our ward and I think she is really great. He has other kids to play with, is able to learn and have a more structured environment to get him ready for school and primary in January.

Apple Pickin'

Aidan had his playgroup on Saturday morning. We went apple picking at one of our mom's in-laws home. It was a lot of fun. Bob got acorns and a lot of apples from the orchard that I plan on making an apple pie with this weekend!

I seriously love my boys! Harry had fun too since he was able to walk around with the kids a little bit. Gran also held him while we were in the orchard.

Aidan pulled Papa all over the place. Papa was also Aidan's official acorn and apple bag holder.

I think Bob enjoyed it most when he could climb the ladder himself to reach the apples.

An apple pickin' thug. So cute!

Happy Birthday Harry!

Harry turned 1 today! I know everyone says it - but I really can't believe its been a year already. He is so adorable. I can't stand it!!! :) Jeff and I got Harry this toy that blows the balls into the air. Aidan and Harry both thought it was pretty hilarious.

Papa and Gran are visiting this week from Georgia. They took the boys to the park where Harry played til he could no longer stand and Aidan played for three hours. They had a blast!

Of course we had to give Harry some cake. Aidan picked out a Nemo cake for Harry. I had to fight Aidan off for awhile but we did let him blow out the candles.

The end result - a blue baby in a blue bath.

Private a no go

Jeff was concerned about putting our blog private because he has so many stinkin' friends and family all over the country that it would be such a hassle to put EVERYONE's emails in to let them see it whats going on with our family.

So - come one, come all - but don't get psycho. Oh - and no - I don't want to buy a watch from your website.

My Family

My friend Casey asked me to take her senior pictures for the yearbook. We went up the canyon and it was gorgeous. I thought I would take advantage of the situation and asked Casey to steal a couple pictures of us. Sure we had to hold Aidan up and Harry was happy for the first 2 minutes, but we got our family pictures taken!

Handsome boys!! Wow - I'm a lucky lady.

Bob...I am your father

I made Jeff help me clean out the basement and he got all nostalgic on my and pulled out his Legos. He has yet to put together this beast that most men and boys know as "The Imperial Star Destroyer". So he is having Aidan help him. I'll update the blog with their progress.

Bob keeps coming in and asking if he is done. When he says no and trys to tell him that it will take awhile, he wants to watch tv and then go check on him.

This could take awhile. This is only 1 of 5 boxes.
Grandma came up for a visit this weekend. The boys were so excited. We did a lot of shopping on Saturday and Jeff made his awesome "fat-free" alfredo sauce. So good! She just left this afternoon, so I had to snap a shot first. We carved Aidan's pumpkin this morning and mom helped to give me an eye for putting stuff up outside. I haven't decorated the outside except for a sign for each season. This year is SO going to be different. Get ready to put up Christmas light, Jeff!

Harry is all over the place now. He took a few steps on his own yesterday and every once in awhile he attempts a couple more. Hes just faster when he crawls! :)

Harry stuck his hand into the pumpkin and licked his hand afterwards. Silly little boy.

Seriously - how cute are my kids?!

For the boys playgroup today we went to the corn maze out in Chubbuck. Aidan basically ran through the maze just trying to find his friend Coty. After the maze they all got some chocolate milk and then anyone who wanted to could feed the rest of the milk to the pigs. Aidan thought it was pretty hilarious!

This is Aidan feeding the horse. I would have actually gotten a picture of the horse, but Harry was holding so tightly to the fence trying to reach the horse that I couldn't get a decent one without pulling his arms off!

The lady helped the kids make bird feeders. It was really easy! We tied a pinecone to the end of a ribbon, covered it in shortening and then stuck seeds all over them. Now Jeff gets to hang Bob and Harry's in the tree.

I was letting Harry see the horse and pigs again when a bunch of little kids came out screaming from the chicken coop. Aidan and Coty (in the orange shirt) ran out laughing evily as the chickens started chasing them. Not gonna lie. It was pretty funny.

Where were the boys?

They were in Mississippi with Jeff and his family! Jeff said that Aidan was obsessed with the dinosaurs at the museum. Shopped, had pictures taken, hung out with family and partied hardcore, baby!!

Gunnar and Michael are the only ones with hair in this picture...I think Harry comes next! The boys have so much fun with Gramps. When Nana and Gramps came out after Harry was born, Gramps could put Harry to sleep and keep him calm like nobody else!

I love this picture! I'm not sure what Michael said to him - but you can tell that Harry just doesn't believe him. :) You can almost hear him saying "Are you kiddin' me?"

Jeff's friends brought their kids to the party, of course. I have no doubt that Aidan was having a blast.

Nana could hardly stand the wait for the boys to get out there. They had so much fun! When I picked them up, Aidan started crying and telling me that he wanted to go back to Nana's house. Poor thing.

Thank you so much, Nana and Gramps - for letting my boys come visit and for taking car of them. We love you! Can't wait to see you both at Christmas!
