Gettin' up & Gettin' out!

Our house has been so drab and boring (aside from the throwing up, crying and blessings). Our curtains have stayed closed, cartoons have been on all weekend to keep Aidan entertained and our yard has been void of children's laughter... (this is where the violin starts to play.) We decided to get out and do something! Me and the boys went for a walk to the library today where Aidan picked out The Polar Express to check out. On our way home it rained and it felt so good! Tonight Jeff and I took Aidan around the block to ride his 'bike' and I toted Harry in the carrier. It was really nice. We stopped to talk to some new neighbors and checked in on some friends from church we hadn't seen in awhile. Its been so nice to get out!

The uninvited guest...Mr. Flu.

Harry got the flu!! He started throwing up about 3 am friday morning and the fun kept on keepin' on til the afternoon. Jeff, being the wonderful husband and father that he is, took Aidan to play for a few hours so Harry and I could get rest and get some things around the house done. Yesterday morning me and my friend Casey took the boys to the Independance day parade (which was awesome!) and I started feeling funny. When we got home I started the flu stuff. I laid around all day and Jeff took Aidan off to play again. About midnight (I'm guessing - I went to bed at 4) Jeff came in and said he wasn't feeling good either and he started to throw up. Yeah. Lots of fun. So now i'm just waiting for it to hit Aidan. So far so good though.

Starting them young...

A few months ago, Jeff got me this piano!! I am still so incredibly happy with it. The damper pedal was broken but I was able to fix it myself which added to my satisfaction. I just got George Winston's first ever published sheet music and I'm so excited! Aidan is already arranging primary songs. He will play for one part, then sing or do actions for a part, then play the ending. Harry just likes to bang on it. They have so much fun though. I'm sure my tune will change (no pun intended) but as of right now - I don't think I will get sick of listening to my boys play the piano in their own way anytime soon.

cutest little prodigies.

My poor Harry

Harry was so sick last week. It started with him being grumpy for a couple days and then all of the sudden he had a temp of 101.5 and was incredibly lethargic. His temp got up to 102.8 after we took him to the dr. where they told us it was a virus and nothing to do. He had sores in his mouth making it hard for him to eat so I had to feed him liquids with a syringe for a day. We did get some stuff to numb his mouth so he could sleep. The part that really freaked me out, making us take him to the dr., was when I heard Aidan playing with him and he wasn't crying and screaming like normal the last couple days. He was laying down, staring at the ceiling. His face was pale. I said his name, I lifted him, I tickled his pea toes and he wouldn't look at me. When I lifted him up his head just rolled back. Finally he did look at me and just then Jeff pulled up. It was awful. Jeff and our friend Todd gave him a blessing and along with all of your prayers, he is doing fine now. You wouldn't even know he had been sick. So thank you!!

This is how he looked most of the week except his cheeks look pretty good here.

Aidan had been practically ignored all week and was going crazy! Of course he had to get in on the picture. We haev the greatest friends!! Casey took Aidan to the mall when she went shopping and Todd and Kristy took him to the zoo. We were so glad that he got to do something. Thank you so much guys. You have no idea what a blessing you were for Aidan.

Ladies Man...

Aidan is such a flirt. He had his picture taken with these girls while they waited to go down the route. The girls were behind the credit union in the parade and Aidan kept leaning around people trying to see them. He was waving to them and blowing kisses. They just smiled at him and gave his candy, of course. This kid is gonna be trouble!

I think he likes the ladies.

Hey Jess! Beat this one!! ;)

Happy 4th of July!

Warning: Cheese to be produced.

I hope everyone took just a minute to remember our soldiers fighting for freedom. Wether you support the war or not - always remember that they are our brothers and sisters. And they chose to fight. For freedom. For the freedom of speech people use to protest the war and often times the soldiers. Home of the Free....Because of the Brave.

In Pocatello, we took Aidan to the parade downtown. We met up with Aidan's playgroup so obviously we have a blast! I even got Jeff to go with us. I was so excited! Its always more fun to have everyone there.

This is the fabulous group of people from Aidan's playgroup. We always have so much fun with them.

In Salt Lake, Jordan Credit Union had a float - and since we know people (shout out to my mama!) Aidan was able to BE in this parade! He sat on the float for some of it and walked around giving out otter pops and squirting people too. He had so much fun.

Jeff walked too. He was having far too much fun! He kind of stayed behind to play Robin Hood with the popsicles, giving them to people who looked like they might cry when they didn't get one. I love the girls anticipation in this picture! :)
