All good things must come to an end...

Aidan was starting to get very tired. Amazingly he perked right up when he saw that daddy had bought him a train!

Thanks to daddy, I think Aidan was one of the very few kids who got to actually sit on Thomas! Aidan thought he was pretty cool.

?

A picture says a thousand words? Can anyone guess what question was being answered here?

RiDiNg ThOmAs the TrAiN

At the end of our trip we rode THOMAS the TRAIN! It was about a 1/2 hour ride through the valley.

AIDAN was so excited the NOAH could be there!

HARRY missed his NAP and I forgot his sweater...so he has mine. But once in GRANDMA'S arms - it wasn't long before he was ASLEEP.
AIDAN and BRANDON have so much fun together. I'm so glad you guys could come again this year, JEN!

Happy 6th Anniversary!

Jeff and I celebrated our 6th anniversary on Saturday. In 6 years we have lived in Mississippi and Utah. We have had 2 amazing little boys. We bought our 1st house in Idaho and we have fallen more in love every day! My husband is amazing. He has given me encouragement when he could tell I needed it and helped me out at one of the most crucial times in my life after I had Harry. He was the one who finally made me understand PPD. He has supported me while writing my book. He has given me everything I have ever needed. Thank you, Peff! I love you!

We stayed the night at the Peery Hotel. It was so beautiful! The front end manager was fantastic. When Jeff mentioned it was our anniversary he upgraded us to a suite! It was so classy. I really didn't know what to expect there. We felt really cool when Jeff called the concierge to make our reservations at The Roof.
We ate at The Roof restaurant in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We had an awesome table by the window so we could look out onto Temple Square. Beautiful. The food is so good. Its our favorite restaurant, but since its pretty pricey we can only go there on super special occasions. Highly recommended! Oh and the creme brulee.....
We walked to the Gateway Mall and did a little shopping. We also gawked a little at some of the freaks and the pretty people.
To top off the night we watched What Happens in Vegas at the Gateway theatre. It was really funny. Ashton Kutcher looked pretty hot and Cameron Diaz was looking old...according to jeff. :)

bAtH tImE!

It's all FUN and GAMES....

'Til someone gets a TRAIN stuck in their HAIR!
We recently bought Aidan some THOMAS TRAINS that run on batteries. I think he now owns every kind of TRAIN because we are suckers. He thought it would be FUNNY to put it on his head. Next thing I hear is him and Harry LAUGHING. I had to CUT the TRAIN from his HAIR.

BrEaKfAsT iN tHe SoUtH

I remember when we went to Mississippi when I was 16ish. We went to Pocahontas, Arkansas to visit my dad's mom and dad and stayed a couple nights with them. When we woke up to breakfast it was bliss. There were 3 2-litre bottles of soda, porkchops, donuts, chips and biscuits. I thought that was a dead tradition because in our year of living in Mississippi not once did I have a breakfast like that. But this morning for breakfast I had a chocolate donut, a coke, a gobstopper and a chicken biscuit. Not quite as extravagent but still incredibly yummy!

So this is bedtime in Heaven...

I sat back and relaxed as Aidan and Harry's cousins took over bedtime.

Lexi (or as Aidan calls her 'Wexski") took a bath with Aidan. If she hadn't he would still be caked in mud, bubbles, bug spray, sunblock, food and anything else that happened to stick to him as he walked by. Thanks Wexski!

Chandley cuddled with Harry and watched TV while Lexi and Bob were in the bath. Thanks Chandley!

McKenzie, Bob, Lexi & Chandley all getting ready to watch a movie and go to bed. Aidan stayed in the girls room last night and stayed with them all night! Pimp!

They had so much fun. I know that, aside from Jeff and I, Aidan will be so sad when we leave. He has had so much fun and these girls have been so great with them. They are an amazing family!! Love you girls! :)

Acworth, Georgia

We have been having so much fun at the Evans' home! Bill's son, Bryan and his wife Shanon let us stay here last night so we didn't have such a long drive to the airport tonight. We had an amazing bbq with sausages, corn, homemade beans and salad. Aidan loved it! Aidan has played so hard. I thought he had a really great tan from being outside so much. We gave him a bath last night and it was all just dirt!!

Aidan rocked out on the drums!! THANK YOU, GEORGIA!
Aidan has spent most of his time playing with this great buble machine.

Again with the bubbles!

This is what the humidity does to my boy's hair. :)

At the end of the day....

I still have two little babies.

Chattanooga, Tennessee

We drove over an hour to Chattanooga, TN to see the train museum and go for a ride on the train. By the time we got there and ate lunch at a mighty fine bbq place called Sticky Fingers (shout out!) they were closed. So we went to a place with a huge name and a little train model. :) It was neat and Aidan loved it, so it was worth it.

Aidan and the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Yes, Aidan. There is a choo choo.

They turned the trains into hotel rooms!! Cool for them, but we couldn't see inside the trains, sadly.

More of the train set. It was really big. They estimated it took about 50,000 man hours to put it all together.

Georgia Aquarium

Today we went to the Georgia Aquarium. It was great! Aidan kept saying "let's see more fish!" and was running from exhibit to exhibit. Harry was so relaxed that he fell asleep shortly after this picture.

Our Family

This is our first family picture...well 2nd family picture. The first was taken the day Harry and I came home from the hospital. Its been over 6 months so I thought it was time. We just had Anne Marie take it at the Park in Georgia.

It was this big...!!

It was Aidan's first time fishing so Jeff and Chet tried their darndest to catch a fish and let Aidan reel it in. After over an hour of trying and catching nothing, they gave up. I still wanted a picture of Aidan fishing so Chet helped Aidan reel it in so I could get a picture and as Aidan was reeling it in he caught a fish!! (Brim?)

Bob and daddy...in the beginning.
Papa and Bob... in the end.
Aidan was a little scared of the fish so Jeff helped him hold it up. When Jeff was trying to take the hook out, Aidan kept telling him not to hurt the fish! It was so cute. We of course let it go after Aidan was able to show Gran.

State Park

We spent Monday at the State Park about 30 minutes from here. There was a beautiful little lake and a playground. Aidan coaxed Papa into playing on the slide with him for who knows how long, while Anne Marie sat with Harry for a bit so I could take pictures. Jeff was fishing around the lake, trying to find a good spot.

The ducks were disturbing the fish so Aidan was helping chase them away. They would come right up to you begging for food. One of the ducks took an entire bun away from Aidan and then fought with the other ducks over it.

Aidan loved the swing. I guess daddy was going a little higher than Papa went with him.

Playin' at Papa's

We are in beautiful Rome, Georgia right now. The weather is absolutely gorgeous so naturally, we have been spending majority of our time outside in the shade. We are really enjoying ourselves. Jeff is at a Braves game tonight with his friend and Anne Marie and I had a girl's night with 'Juno' and pizza! Chet was teaching at the college so he missed out on our girl's night! ;)

The Hollomon guys....and their crocs.
