I debated on whether or not to post anything on here about this because I know there will be some people that will say stuff about how much sugar or soda we give our kids. Truth is - we don't give our kids any more sugar than anyone else and they rarely ever have soda and they don't go to bed with juice. So - here is the dentists educated/statistical explanation: some people are just born (genetics)with bad saliva and teeth that make them more susceptible to cavities or weak teeth. I was also sick during the 1st trimester so Harry's enamel didn't form correctly on some of his teeth. So - put that all together and you end up with a sad baby needing 4 crowns on his molars and 4 teeth pulled. Whenever his front teeth would come in they would just break off. Thats just how they came in. 2 of his back crowns were precautionary so we wouldn't have to do this again.
We had this all done at the hospital so they could put him under so he wouldn't be completely traumatized.
He slept for quite awhile and its taken us almost a week to get him back on schedule. He was super clingy and cuddly and I loved every bit of it! He is doing just fine now. The dentist said that he will be able to bite down with his front gums eventually and until I have a little vampire baby. The dentist also told us that his adult teeth will come in just fine, just need to take more precautions than normal and his other teeth are just fine too. No cavities. :) Yeah!
