Aidan had his first soccer practice today. A bunch of the other players and parents showed up even though it was cold and rainy! I think Aidan is 1 of 2 boys on the team. He was already flirting with the girls. :)
Aidan much preferred picking the ball up and running to make a goal. He caught on soon enough.

Jeff was quite impressed...I'm glad! This is the first time I've really been able to decorate my own home. I'm so excited. Like our new carpet? We do!!
Ma - that dresser is beautiful again! We just soaked it in orange oil and it made a huge difference. Above our bed is an old window from our house that was out in the garage. I just broke the glass out of it. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to put something in the spaces or not....hmm......
The boys room turned out better than I'd hoped. I just taped off the stripes and it took me forever! Amanda - thanks for talking me into getting that shelf. It looks great, It hink!

Nothing new done here in the guest room. That will be next. I wasn't too excited about doing it because I was kind of burnt out after the other 2 rooms but after seeing how great they turned out (at least I think so:) ) I'm really excited to figure out what I'm going to do in this room now!

Before.....

We found out why there was carpet...because they ruined the pretty hardwood floor with this fabulous 70's tile!! Its a nice brown and orange. Yummy. This is in our bedroom. There was a lush (please feel the sarcasm oozing....) blue indoor/outdoor carpet that smelled like old house. But I did just paint the walls.
This is the boys room. You can tell they tried to save these floors. There were some spots they had tried to sand but alas...nothing can save these poor beautiful floors. The light carpet was stained with who knows what and smelled of wet dog and old house. I'm thinking of making an air freshener with that. But again - new paint!!
Oops! Sorry - sideways. Again - the floors. Again....same carpet as the boys. Same smell too, I think. yuck. No new paint in here yet.
